More Attractive

The BID has funded and worked in partnership to deliver a range of environmental and streetscape projects to improve the visual appearance of Paddington.

Since 2005 the BID has funded the following:

• More than 73 hanging baskets and planters
• Improvements to 2 stretches of Sussex Gardens
• Christmas lights
• Regeneration of Talbot Square Gardens with Westminster City Council
• New on-street waste and recycling bins
• The paving and re-lighting of Praed Street

The BID has also produced its own Planning and Design Guide for businesses in Paddington.

Plans for the future include:

• Introduction of Legible London pedestrian way-finding scheme across Paddington
• Further work to improve the local streetscape
• Renovation and restoration of a further stretch of Sussex Gardens
