A Safer Paddington
Paddington has seen a significant improvement in the safety of its streets as a result of the BID's security objectives.
The BID has funded a four-strong community safety team, dedicated to the BID area alone, which works directly with the Metropolitan Police. The team are accessible 24 hours a day through a dedicated mobile phone which all businesses can call. This provides a direct link to the police through which businesses can seek advice, report a crime or report anti-social behaviour.

24 hour monitoring of the BID area.
The BID has also funded and installed three cameras to form a CCTV network of five cameras in Paddington. This provides 24 hour monitoring of the BID area. The community safety team have a direct link with the CCTV control centre.
Pubwatch
A pubwatch scheme was established to support local publicans and co-ordinate local community safety issues. This group meets quarterly.
